Rome. Demonstration outside the Fiat Viale Manzoni against the agreement for workers halter

press release
the network assets against the Roman crisis showed this afternoon outside the headquarters of Fiat Avenue Manzoni in solidarity with workers in Pomigliano D'Arco called today to reject an agreement imposed by the Fiat-cord that eliminates workers' trade union rights and constitutional system. The message that the demonstration in Rome wanted to send workers to Pomigliano D'Arco was to stand tall and not to give up their dignity and their rights because of the blackmail of Fiat, the government and unions subordinate to the dictates of employers. Emblematic was the spontaneous strike of factory workers, took place today in Termini Imerese who responded to openly arrogant statements Marchionne.
Significantly the event was attended by a delegation of women workers and workers dell'Eutelia still engaged in a rally in defense of their rights trampled. Equally significant has been circulated the letter of the Polish workers at Fiat's Tychy sent to the workers of Fiat's Pomigliano D'Arco in which we invite you to resist and not accept any division instrumentally tax Fiat workers between the Polish and Italian workers.
The event which ended at around 19:00 was also attended by delegations of trade unions (FIOM, USB, USI) and the political left-wing anti-capitalist (Federation of the Left, critics of Communist network).

resolution against the blackmail of the popular initiative to ask the City of Rome to request the creation of measures for income support for those most affected by the crisis

REPORT OF THE DECISION OF PEOPLE'S INITIATIVE REFERENCE AS SUBJECT: "MEASURES OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE INCOME SUPPORT OF HOUSEHOLDS AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY ECONOMIC CRISIS " MADE UNDER ARTICLES. 6 AND 8 DELLO STATUTO DEL COMUNE DI ROMA E DEGLI ARTT. 2, 3 E 4 DEL REGOLAMENTO PER GLI ISTITUTI DI PARTECIPAZIONE DEL COMUNE DI ROMA.

Questo è vero a maggior ragione in una città come Roma, dove tutta una serie to "parachute" type of solidarity family, friends and groups that are "open" in case of need in small communities do not exist because of the scarcity of social relations of a great metropolis.
More and more families and individuals fail to see their economic certainties - already for if not exciting - because of redundancies, mass redundancy, precariousness of their employment, more and more families do not to do more to make ends meet.
Particular attention within this phenomenon must be given to children, la cui
compensating for the weaknesses that would otherwise encounter.
The City of Rome provides for all persons living on its territory a number of services and
supply of goods and services, either directly or through companies controlled by it or participated, and provision that calls for a fee, these services are of primary importance and can well be described as "vital", such as the provision of electricity for civilian homes for end users secure, supply drinking water, the meal service
school, day care centers, urban public transport and so on., all services for which a person could find it hard to pay the due, as previously done quietly, because crisis and its repercussions that have affected employment.
Failure to use these services by individuals and their families in difficulty
pay the Municipality of Rome to its counterpart leads to a severe economic hardship both material and moral subjects in economic crisis, with specific aggravating for the elderly and children .
In order to support the income of people that the economic crisis hit causing him to lose the security for a secure, stable work, and in order to support low-income seniors, shall submit to the citizens of the resolution popular initiative shown by this report in order to reduce 50% for the period from 1 January 2011 to December 31, 2013 rates ACEA on the invoices for the supply of electricity for residential users and to protected band; ACEA invoices for the supply of water for residential, AMA rate on the collection and disposal of solid waste city \u200b\u200bfor residential, ATAC rate of subscription is a single ticket, fare on the service of school meals;

in the period between 1 January 2011 and December 31, 2013 proves to be not employed, unemployed, laid off, temporary workers with a gross income of € 12,000.00 received in the previous year, or for members of households consisting of one units or for the elderly over the age of 65 years and for which the pension income to social minimum, and to leave unchanged the rates quoted as of 1 January 2011 to December 31, 2013 for all persons residing in the town of Rome.

The Network the crisis was met with European Commission

press release
A delegation of Roman Network against the crisis, met in Rome yesterday afternoon Dr. Astoli D'Virgilio, representative European Commission in Brussels for relations with civil society. The theme of the meeting was to put pen to paper the social alarm due to unpopular measures imposed by European governments and institutions and report that they will meet strong opposition and social union.
"The guidance given at the European level are likely to kill the patient - have supported the activities of the network - particularly in southern Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal), from which time the companies are subject to adjustment policies structural developments on the popular sectors already under pressure for years. " In terms of welfare state, the work, privatization of public services and the same debt, the European institutions have ensured that the areas cut to date for all income and social cohesion in spite of a recession for years now become explosive latent and manifest. In order not to "undermine the confidence of financial markets," European institutions do not assume any freezing of interest payments on public debt (which should be in the hands of the people who feed and financial speculation), but do not bother trying to "undermine confidence "for workers and retirees who are seen to cut the incomes and purchasing power for years. Not only that. "In Italy, a referendum for the Defense of Water and Services public can not enter into collision with the European directives that require the privatization / liberalization of the local services (water, transport, waste etc).
Dr. Astoli On the other hand stressed that the Summit and the document adopted on 12 May, EU governments have in fact deprived the Commission of crisis management. The focus of the European Council (consisting of the government) means that decisions are taken by individual governments in coordination together inside a body that is answerable to Parliament as is the case for the Commission. The discussion continued on various aspects of social and democratic deficit in which they came are the various European treaties and the possibility that social movements and trade unions can intervene in some way on the strategic choices of the Union through proactive referendum at the European level. The data that is evident is that the European institutions and social and trade union bodies are two distinct and separate universes deeply. While the delegation of the crisis Network he met with the European Commission, in Piazza di Torre Argentina was held a garrison of the activists of the network itself, however, put a strain on the rain falling heavily.
