European Disability Forum to the collection in Italy

Yesterday and today in the Milan offices of the UIC (Union of Italian Blind) is taking place a meeting of the European Disability Forum, an acronym in English, EDF. What it does and who is this EDF? Let's find the net and find this .

The year 2010 was a year characterized by strong economic and social crisis and spending cuts have hit hard even people with disabilities. The Forum will analyze the most worrying aspects of ' impact on disabled people of the restrictive measures in some Member States have rocked the social and economic benefits including compensation.

Other topics under consideration are new regulations for the operation of the Structural Funds, the proposed to organize nel 2012 il “Parlamento Europeo delle Persone Disabili” e i Programmi Nazionali di Riforma che sono parte integrante dell’attuazione della strategia Europa 2020."

Si legge quindi che questo meeting è stato voluto dal FID. Fid? Forum Italiano Disabilità . Ah si? Esiste pure questo? Andiamo a cercare: niente sito web (perchè siamo sempre indietro, noi italiani, nell'informatica e dintorni??????) ma brevi articoli che parlano della costituzione di questo organismo; leggiamo da una nota di Superabile , datata 11 luglio 2008 :
"Dopo anni di divisioni, si sono unificati il Cidue e il Cnd: il Forum, presieduto da Tommaso Daniele, rappresenterà gli italiani disabili al Forum europeo della disabilità. Il primo atto politico sarà una lettera indirizzata al presidente del Consiglio, per chiedere che sia iscritta all’ordine del giorno del Consiglio dei ministri la ratifica della Convenzione Onu.

ROMA - Si è costituito ufficialmente ieri il Forum italiano sulla disabilità: dopo anni di divisioni, il Cidue (Consiglio italiano dei disabili per i rapporti con l'Unione Europea) e il Cnd (Consiglio nazionale sulla disabilità) hanno portato a termine un processo di unificazione dando vita al Fid. Se abbiamo questi organismi così importanti e sicuramente dotati di ufficio stampa e mezzi per farsi sentire e controbattere a tutta questa allucinante situazione, che si consuma nel più totale silenzio, sarebbe giusto muoversi per tutte quelle persone che sono state umiliate, penalizzate e discriminate perchè in Italia vige la più profonda ignoranza sulla disabilità e sta avendo marcia questa vergognosa campagna contro i falsi invalidi che colpisce e talvolta purtroppo anche uccide solo gli invalidi.

La gente comune, quella che non condivide un familiare disabile, e quindi "non sa", pensa, poichè legge quello che appare sui quotidiani, che tutto quello che sta succedendo sia giusto, anzi, si stupisce pure che le parti interessate abbiano qualcosa da obbiettare, invece andrebbe informata.

(*) questo dato fui poi ampiamente smentito da tantissimi, in primis sul sole24ore se non ricordo male: la tesi era che di questi 2 milioni e 700 in realtà erano state conteggiate due volte le stesse persone perchè succede appunto che una stessa persona percepisca two benefits.
